Why Homework Should Be Gone, Once and for All.

**Fair Warning... I will put my emotions in this essay so understand me if I start using capital letters and use more than 3 exclamation points...

If someone asks you what is the most important thing in school is, you might say things like learning, health, math, science, ELA, Social Studies. But if you ask a student the most hateful thing about school is, more than 75% will say homework. Today I will explain 5 reasons why homework should be gone, once and for all.

        1. No Use

If you learn everything at school and know everything, you don't need homework. I don't need to explain a lot about this reason since it's very straight forward. It is no use. You learn everything at school. I mean if you learn new things using homework, it will be good. But if you just do the same thing you learned in school over and over and over again, are you learning? NO! You are just reviewing S.C.H.O.O.L (Seven  Crule Hours Of Our Lives some students say). We need to lean at school, not at home. Well, if you still don't understand me, continue to read this paragraph over and over and over again.

        2. Health Problems For Students

Most kids go to school. And all students get homework. And more than 80% have health problems because of it. I will list and explain the health problems that homework led to.

1. Stress - Students mostly go into higher grade every year and they get more and more homework every time they go into a new grade and every time they learn something new. But that makes more "review" of school. And since students have x2 homework with x0.5 chores and 3 1:n tutoring, they have stress and they think that they need to finish quickly. That makes more stress.

2. Less Sleep - Sleep is the most important thing to students. Student's grow when they are sleeping and if they don't sleep enough, they would be tired the whole day. Well, adults, they are a different story. They can take naps, they drink coffee and all stuff. But student's can't just sleep in the middle of class (Unless they think class as C.L.A.S.S.(Come Late And Start Sleeping)). They can't drink coffee because... you know... they just can't. But if teachers don't know that and give an amount of homework that when it is stacked up, it's the same height as Mount Everest, well, teachers have just cut off students' 5 hours of sleep.

3. No time for Entertainment/Socialization - **This is also pretty straight forward. If there is too much homework, you need more time to do it. If you use most of your time on homework, you can't do your entertainment and you loose your time for socialization.

4. Lower Physical Health - **Also straight forward. If teachers give you a lot of homework that requires books and paper, your hand will eventually hurt (Copy down 120 pages of Google Slides, 20 math pages, 30 mins reading and write down what it's about, and write a 5 page essay about history).

        3. Students Get Way Too Much Homework

The National Education Association and the National Parent-Teacher Association agreed on a "10-minute rule" which is a rule that students should be assigned a homework that should be finished in 10 minutes. But in some schools, ELA teachers assign students a reading log which is usually at least 30 minutes of reading. In Lewis F. Cole Intermediate School in Fort Lee NJ, students are assigned 4 pages of math homework (1-5 hours), 30 mins of reading, 6 pages of reading science textbook with highlighting important information and answering questions (1-2 hours), and 3 mins of Social Studies problem solving that sometimes becomes 30 mins.

        4. BORING

There is a lot of fun things in the world but why do we need to do homework?? It's not even fun and it doesn't even help our grades. Why do we need to do the boring assignment?? We ALREADY HAVE 7 HOURS OF TORTURE AND TEACHERS TRY TO MAKE A FEW HOURS OF NEW CLASS CALLED HOMEWORK THAT IS JUST BORING! (Sorry-_-) And by the way... The teachers somehow find it fun.

        5. Schools "MISUNDERSTANDING"

Pretty straight forward so it will be only 2 sentences. Schools don't understand that students have lives outside of school, too. Why does schools want students to be stuck in school even in their outside lives??

        6. Lower Grade

Teachers only teach you the lesson only 25% of the whole page. But if we don't understand it or forget it when you go back home, you will solve it the wrong way. But on the test or a quiz, if you don't know the correct way and only know your own way, which is the wrong way, you will get a lower grade.

        7. Stops Students From Being Active

This is also straight forward. If you have a lot of homework, you don't have time, if you don't have time, you can't be active and you just have to stay in your small chair and do that stupid thing called homework.

        8. Causes Students To Suicides

If you are a student, you will understand. If you do homework, you will think that it is torture. IF YOU HAVE TORTURE, YOU WANT TO DIE AND END THE PAIN. Junior Stu Dent has drowned in own tears due to homework.... Teen suicide rate has increased 70% from 2006 to 2016. And some of them is due to homework.

        9. SLEEP

If you can't sleep at school, there is no reason for us to be forced to work at home. We, student's decide to sleep at home or sleep at school if we are forced to do homework.

        10. No Family Time

We came home to have time with family members. Then they all ask me... "Did you do your homework?" AHHH
